We are dedicated and responsible breeders of Canine Control Council (Qld) registered Maltese puppies.  Mitzimist Maltese is a small home based breeding programme started in 1990 by Jan Clark.  Quality, temperament, beauty and health are several key aspects of our breeding programme. We strive to improve and enhance these qualities with every breeding here at Mitzimist Maltese. We are completely devoted to the Maltese who share our home and our lives.

WHAT DO YOU EXPECT WHEN PURCHASING A PUPPY FROM MITZIMIST MALTESE?

1. A beautiful, healthy and happy puppy who has been raised in a clean and loving environment.
2. A puppy who has stayed with the breeder until it is 8-10 weeks old.
3. A puppy who has been given appropriate vaccinations and preventative worming.
4. A puppy who has already started paper training.

SUITABLE HOMES FOR OUR PUPPIES

Many of our puppies are sold as "Therapy Dogs". Some of our puppies are purchased by people who are "Hearing Impaired" and their puppies are trained as "Hearing Dogs". Puppies are also purchased by adults with a child who has a disability. The quality of life of these children is greatly enhanced by the company of a precious little Maltese. Others have gone to homes of people who are elderly and socially isolated. The presence of a Maltese in their home gives them a greater sense of security and comfort. Our puppies also go to homes where couples have chosen not to have children, families where adult children have left home, families with responsible children, people who are single and couples who have retired and have the time to give love and care to these beautiful animals who give unconditional love and affection.

VACCINATIONS AND HEARTWORM PREVENTION TREATMENT

There are many issues for new puppy "parents" to consider regarding ongoing vaccinations and Heartworm prevention treatment  for their puppies. We believe it is wise to consult with your local vet and be guided by his/her advice. At the same time, it is very important to do your own research regarding potential side effects of "over vaccinating" puppies and some Heartworm prevention drugs. With this knowledge, you are in a position to raise any concerns you may have with your vet.

Baby Jazz
